The Castelli Aero Race shoe covers are designed to bring aerodynamics and protection from wind and rain together. The snug fit and thin material make these overshoes suitable for fast cycling in wet and cool conditions between 10 and 18 degrees.
Material and fit
The Castelli Aero Race overshoes are made of a PU-coated stretch fabric that is fully waterproof. Thanks to the slim design, the fabric forms tightly around your cycling shoes, reducing drag and keeping water out. The fit is focused on aerodynamics and is not affected by high-intensity exercise. The lack of insulation makes these shoe covers particularly suitable for transitional periods with rain or wind but without extremely low temperatures.
Functional details
The overshoes have a waterproof zip as well as a silicone border on the inside of the cuff to keep rain out and prevent water from entering from above. A reinforced insert is placed under the foot for extra wear protection when you are walking. The minimalist finish contributes to the overshoes' low weight and makes them a practical choice for race days or fast training rides in stormy weather.
